// what we do

Our wedding styling offers couples a unique and personal styling experience. Our packages range from on-the-day styling, to full concept + design. We love working on beautiful beachside + garden ceremonies, dining experiences underneath the stars, empty warehouses or across unique venues within Sydney and beyond.  We have a team of hard-working, design-conscious styling crew, who love to style weddings and have a passion for parties. we all love to ensure every detail is styled to perfection for your special day!

We offer a range of curated props + furniture for hire which have been chosen to work together and added to, for a modern, unique + on-trend look. Our collection is constantly expanding and we especially love to source + create new looks.

Our bespoke handdrawn signage are perfect for any event – we create these by hand in house. Our traditional handpainted signs and handlettering are all custom made and includes welcome signs, menu boards, placecards, seating charts, table numbers.. and heaps more…

Our studio in Summer Hill (Sydney) is open by appointment.

so far

Simon + Melissa began their journey together in 2011 – both freelancing in their fields, with lots of shared clients in the design world.

 They decided to collaborate to share their passion + creativity and thus founded Ashdown & Bee in 2012, offering handpainted signage, wedding and event styling as well as a large collection of props that can be hired.

Their studio is based in Summer Hill in Sydney, with their space displaying all their props + decor, a workshop for their custom sign making as well as office space.

Simon + Melissa got engaged in 2015 at The Grounds of Alexandria.  This was featured in the book Celebrate by Hooray and photos can be seen here.

In October 2016 they tied the knot.  Their wedding was featured in Hello May Magazine - Real Weddings Annual 2017 .  Photos can be seen here and a blog feature here.
